Tom Brady appeared to take issue with a joke told during his Sunday night roast, but viewers couldn’t tell if the legendary quarterback was serious or if he was agreeing to some sort of piece. It seems to be the first.
Andrew Schultz talked about the Brady roast during the latest episode of the comedian’s show “Flagrant,” released Wednesday. Schultz, who was one of the roasters on the Netflix special, was asked early on about the time Jeff Ross made a joke about Patriots owner Robert Kraft and Brady came on stage to tell Ross “don’t say that again.” .” You can see the exchange here.
The joke, which referred to Kraft being arrested in connection with an operation in a massage parlor in 2019, it was tame compared to much of what was said at the roast. This is why many thought the Brady-Ross interaction was staged. Schultz believes it was authentic.
“I think it was 100% real. The reason I think it’s real is because they didn’t tell us jokes about happy endings with Bob Kraft,” Schultz said.
Schultz explained that he also wrote a joke about Kraft, but was told that Kraft’s famous massage was a forbidden subject.
Brady has long been loyal to Kraft and said the 82-year-old was like a second father to him. This would make sense if Brady didn’t want Kraft to become collateral damage during the roast. Brady’s ex-wife probably wants the same rules to be applied to her.
