Timberwolves Vs. Nuggets Game 1 Results – 2K24 Simulation Picks Minnesota Over Denver
According to our NBA 2K24 Simulation, the Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Denver Nuggets in Game 1 in overtime by a score of 104-97.. This hotly contested clash saw two teams fighting hard, but the ultimate Timberwolves ultimately emerged victorious. A mix of good offensive and defensive performances kept this one close until the final minutes, making it an entertaining match all round.
TEAM | Quarter 1 | Quarter 2 | Quarter 3 | Quarter 4 | Over time | FINAL |
MINIMUM | 23 | 31 | 15 | 24 | 11 | 104 |
LAIR | 17 | 27 | 15 | 34 | 4 | 97 |
Minnesota took a ten-point lead into halftime, playing good defense and keeping the Nuggets under pressure. Without Nikola Jokic, the Nuggets’ offense seemed lost and very inaccurate. Because of this, the Timberwolves took an easy 10-point lead into the half. However, Denver had to make some serious adjustments in the virtual locker room.
In the second half, Minnesota’s offense looked downright miserable. Outscored 39-49 in the second half, Denver managed to take this game into overtime. However, it still took too long for the Nugget offense to wake up. They also only managed to score 15 points in the third quarter.
In overtime, the Timberwolves were playing basketball with lights to keep things out of reach. The combo of Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns proved too strong for the defending champions as they won Game 1 on the road.
In terms of player performance, Anthony Edwards wins the ball here. In total, he finished the day with 30 points, 6 assists and a steal. However, he only converted 4 out of 12 3PT attempts, but was able to get the job done through the paint. Alongside him, his teammate Rudy Gobert, who collected 21 rebounds and scored 13 points. Gobert helped keep several offensives alive en route to victory.
As for the Nuggets, who other than Nikola Jokic would be their best player? With 32 points, 21 rebounds and 8 assists, Jokic almost achieved an incredible triple-double. However, his monster day was marred by a Timberwolves victory. Unfortunately, no one else on the team played exceptionally well, with Jamal Murray being the next highest scorer (19 points).
A lack of good performances from the rest of the Nuggets roster led to their downfall in this one.

With this victory, the Timberwolves have an important victory in the first game. Winning a road playoff game means a lot. Even if you lose the second game, you go home with a chip on your shoulder. However, there is no time to relax, as the team must maintain high-level play throughout the rest of the playoffs. Anthony Edwards and co. really defeat the reigning champions?
As for Denver, you lose now, but this team has faced adversity before. Jokic doesn’t know the definition of pressure, and with a strong roster, they can easily bounce back from a loss. However, it sucks to lose at home, where we have this slight advantage. Still, they have the rest of the series to catch up and hopefully move forward.
We had to make some adjustments to our series, which explains our delay in creating more simulations. Overall, it seemed like creating custom lists to account for injuries simply led to game crashes. Therefore, we had to stick with the latest lists the game offered. We did, however, adjust the sliders to create a more accurate dashboard and statistics.
Overall, this concludes our Timberwolves Vs. Nugget game 1 Results According to NBA 2K24. We hope you enjoyed watching and hope to see you for future episodes. We’ve taken a break from the series due to technical difficulties, but we’re looking forward to covering some of the biggest games of the playoffs.
