Richmond Raceway will celebrate its 80th anniversary next year. Last year, the NASCAR race weekend was sold out.
“As Saturday night racing returned to Richmond Raceway, everyone showed up and showed up, igniting an electric atmosphere among the fans in the stands and the drivers on the track,” said Lori Waran, president of Richmond Raceway. “We plan to keep this momentum going as we approach our 80th anniversary and welcome fans back for our most exciting chapter yet.”
The final Cook Out 400 at Richmond Raceway saw driver Richard Childress Racing Austin Dillon gets redemption and secures victory once again in front of a packed house, blasting their way to the Cup Series playoffs. Truck Series driver Corey Heim also scored big at Richmond, earning his seventh victory of the year, helping him toward his record-breaking season of wins and an eventual championship.
The 2026 NASCAR race weekend at Richmond Raceway begins August 14 with the Truck Series at 7:30 p.m. Next, the Cup Series drivers will take to the track on August 15 at 7 p.m.
