JACKSON VILLAGE – Gray Gagnon The Portsmouth High School golf team tied for 36 medals as they won a four-team match Thursday at Wentworth Golf Club.
Portsmouth had a team score of 194, beating St. Thomas Aquinas (210), Kingswood (213) and host Kennett (219).
“For the first time on this course, the kids played really well,” Portsmouth head coach Kyle Harrison said. “They’re controlling the golf ball and, for the most part, avoiding big numbers.”
Turner Leduc shot an over-par 37 for the Clippers, while Will Renna and Grant Haberstroh each shot 40s, and Thijs Beelen shot a 41.

Warriors win three-way game
HOLLIS – Winnacunnet’s Jimmy Schouller and Chris Berry, along with Oyster River’s Teagan Nadeau, each shared co-medalist honors with a 37-over-par 37 in this Division II match at Overlook Golf Club.
Winnacunnet won the match with a team score of 196, while Osyter River (216) and Hollis-Brookline (253) placed second and third, respectively.
Greyson Belliveau shot a 39 for the Warriors, and teammates Will Granger and Elliott Brinser shot 41 and 43, respectively.
Cole Dulac of Oyster River shot 44.

HUDSON — Emery Lawton and Raegan Lawton each scored for the Clippers in this Division I game. Ailish Honda had two assists in the win, while teammates Morgan Ruhnke and Grace Ward both played well.
Portsmouth improves to 3-2.

YORK, Maine — The Wildcats won this Class B match in three sets, 25-10, 25-14, 25-18.
Nellie Young (seven blocks), Sivan Semo (three kills), Brynn Folger (11 assists) and Kylie Folger (10 digs) led Marshwood.
