Three schools made the biggest impression early on Carrington Reservoir and while Las Vegas four-star defensive tackle Bishop Gorman will take his time recruiting, these programs stand out.
“Miami, Texas A&M and Oklahoma,” Carrington told Matt Moreno during registration day at the Polynesian Bowl.
“Those are the three schools that message me daily and have started to build those relationships.”
Carrington just spent a week at the Navy All-American Bowl and now he’s in Hawaii for a week, so he was able to take a little break from recruiting.
It’s good because the four-star has been able to focus on other things, but there’s no doubt things will pick up again soon even if Carrington doesn’t have any tours scheduled yet.
He wants to go to Miami and Oklahoma and it wouldn’t be surprising if he also lands in College Station for a trip.
“I would say it’s on the back burner for me,” Carrington said. “I like to take my recruitment a little slower and get to know the schools I’m about to commit to before I make that decision.”
During the season, defensive tackle Bishop Gorman visited Texas A&M, South Carolina and Oregon.
As for his recruitment, it will become clearer over time. This week, he focuses on representing the Class of 2026 at the Polynesian Bowl.
“It means a lot to be part of the first class and to be able to come here early,” Carrington said. “It means a lot to represent and see the hard work I’ve done since I was four or five years old now paying off.”
