Justin Thomas will take a one-shot lead over Scottie Scheffler into the final round of Sunday’s Hero World Challenge after shooting a bogey-free six-under 66.
World number one Scheffler missed a birdie on the 18th as he shot a 69 at the Albany Golf Club in the Bahamas to move to 16 under par.
South Korean Tom Kim climbed seven spots to third with a 10-under-par 62. Kim was 11 under for his round after 16 holes, but a double bogey five at the par-three 17th ended with any hope of matching the course record of 61.
However, he holed a bunker shot at the last to finish with an improbable birdie and is just two behind Thomas on 15 under.
US Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley continued his fine form with a bogey-free 68, leaving him four behind on 13 under.
Scotland’s Robert MacIntyre had a topsy-turvy situation closing out six holes, mixing four birdies and two bogeys as he shot a 68 to finish at nine under.
England’s Aaron Rai shot a 72 to stay two under and is 14th out of 20 players.
