CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College Athletics announced its 2026 Theme Days for each of Boston College Football’s six home games Monday afternoon.

The 2026 home schedule opens in Week 2 against Rutgers on September 11, the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. The Rutgers game will serve as Boston College’s 13th Red Bandana game, honoring former Eagles lacrosse player Welles Crowther, who died saving up to 12 people in the South Tower of the World Trade Center on September 11 2001.

A week after hosting Rutgers, Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day will take place when Boston College takes on Maine on September 19. The annual Boston College Family Weekend will take place in Week 4, when the Eagles face Virginia Tech on September 26 in their first ACC game of the season.

After a two-week break at home between a trip to Dallas and a bye week, the Eagles return to Alumni Stadium to face Pittsburgh in Homecoming on October 17. In partnership with BC Student Affairs and the Alumni Association, Homecoming is the culmination of a week-long celebration at The Heights, honoring the rich traditions and mission of Boston College. Additionally, the Varsity Club will introduce the new winners at halftime of the game, followed by brunch the next day. Full event details and ticket information will be available at a later date.

The Eagles will celebrate Veterans and Military Appreciation Day on Nov. 7 when they take on Florida State in the penultimate home game of the 2026 campaign at Alumni Stadium. Boston College will close out its slate on Nov. 21 against Syracuse for the second annual Jay McGillis Memorial Senior Day Game.

While playing under head coach Tom Coughlin as a starting safety for Boston College in 1991, McGillis was diagnosed with leukemia. Following intensive chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant from his older brother, McGillis died in the summer of 1992. McGillis’ memory lived on throughout the Eagles’ spring football game in his honor and will continue to be honored by the Jay McGillis ’93 Memorial Scholarship Fund, awarded annually to a senior defensive back by the Boston College Gridiron Club. Additionally, Coughlin founded the Jay Fund in 1996 to “help families fight childhood cancer by providing comprehensive financial, emotional and practical support.”

Memberships for the 2026 BC Football season are on sale now. Current subscribers have until May 1 to renew their subscription and until May 31 to renew their parking.

Experience BC Football in a new way every game with the all-new Eagles Access Pass. This flexible ticket option offers a different seat location for each home game, based on availability, giving fans a unique view all season long. Seat assignments will be delivered during the week of each game, with tickets sent via mobile delivery. The Eagles Access Pass is available for just $99, with only 500 passes available.

Premium hospitality, single-game tickets and parking will go on sale at a later date.

Match times and broadcast designations for all matches will be announced at a later date.
