The New York Yankees made two shocking announcements that made the headlines all of the sport, and none involved acquiring a player or dismissing someone. In a turn of surprising events, the Yankees managing the general partner Hal Steinbrenner sent a memo saying that for the first time since his late father controlled the team, the players would be allowed to display “well -maintained beards” during the list .
Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman discuss the surprising turn of events, as well as the other notable announcement that the team will not play the emblematic “New York, New York” theme “by Frank Sinatra after losses. The guys wonder what may have caused this change in the new boss and if their loss of the World Series has something to do with that.
