My memories of John Tesh are hazy, except I remember my dad thinking he was a huge pussy. A true product of a career in the genre of 80s stuff mixed with Christian Rock vibe. It doesn’t slap that hard. But then I learn he’s the legend behind the NBC-themed NBA and I start to gain a fraction of a percent respect. I can not help it. Sorry dad.
“Roundball Rock” plays so hard even now in 2020. Easily the best theme song and that includes NCAA Football on CBS, Monday Night Football, One Shining Moment, whatever the damn sport or occasion, NBA on NBC is the GOAT when it comes to jingles. The fact that John Tesh suggested it on his voicemail after a few dry chardonnays makes it even better.
