Rory McILroy and JJ SPAUN will come back For a three -hole playoff series to decide the players’ championship. The two ended the final round on 12 under the week after a long battle on Sunday, which was even longer by a four -hour weather time.
Spaun is looking for his second victory over the PGA Tour. He won his inaugural victory at the Valero Texas Open in 2022. McILroy, on the other hand, is looking for his second victory this season. He never won the PGA Tour twice during a calendar year before the Masters.
The players’ championship offers three -hole playoffs. McILroy and Spaun will start at the 16th par-5, then make his way in the clubhouse. If there is still equality after the three holes, they will return for a sudden qualifying series on Green 17th Island. If he is still tied after that, they will play the 18th. From there, the game will continue from 16 until a winner is determined.
