Elmont, NY- The New York Icelanders fell to the Vancouver cannucks on Wednesday at UBS Arena, losing 5-2. With defeat, the Icelanders have been wasted the opportunity to settle for the first time for the first time since November 16.
Thatcher Demko won the victory for the Canucks, arresting 26 of the 28 strokes.

Meanwhile, the goalkeeper of Isles, Ilya Sorokin was fired at the start of the third period after only 15 stops on 19 shots. Marcus Hogberg came in relief to save the five Canuck shots he faced.
None of the two teams marked in the first period, the Icelanders who take over the chances. Demko stood on his head by making many incredible stops, including two on Bo Horvat.
After one period, the Icelanders led 10-5 shots, but none of the teams could mark.
Kiefer Sherwood opened the scoring at the start of the second period. He switched a long shot by Hughes to the back of the net with 2:39 of the chronometer. Filip Hronek caught the washer in Hughes, winning secondary assistance.
A few minutes later with the Canucks on the power game, JG Pageau and Casey Cizikas connected to score in digital disadvantage for the Islanders 5:35 in the period two to equalize the match in one:
