Betts, 45, was the coach of the runners of the Iowa University since 2021. He was a record ball carrier for Hawkeyes from 1997 to 2001 before becoming a second round choice in the NFL recovery 2002.
His game career lasted nine seasons with Washington (2002-09) and New Orleans (2010). In 111 games, Betts totaled 821 rushs for 3,326 yards and 15 affected while adding three reception scores and 1,646 yards on 188 catches.
At Iowa, Betts resulted in All-American Kaleb Johnsonwhich rushed 508 times for 2,779 yards and 30 affected in 35 matches of 2022-24. Johnson was the running back of the year 2024 Big Ten Ameche-Dayne after taking 240 rushes for 1,537 yards and 21 affected in 12 games.
Before Iowa, Betts was the football coach in Fort Lauderdale (Florida) Pine Crest High School from 2019 to 20. Initially, he was an attacking coordinator of Pine Crest from 2016-18.
Betts entered the coaching as a half-resident co-rings in Coral Springs (Florida) Christian Academy in 2013. He was the offensive coordinator of Boca Raton (Florida) of the 2014-2015 secondary school.
