San Diego – Jake Peavy, NL Cy Young Award 2007 winner and member of the San Diego Padres Hall of Fame, joined the team as a special assistant to the CEO Erik Greupner.

Greupner said Thursday that Triple All-Star will help several departments and serve as a team ambassador.

“I incredibly appreciate this opportunity to find my Padres family,” Peavy said in a press release. “San Diego has always occupied a special place in my heart. I am a Padai from start to finish – from the moment I have been drafted by the team to date, and I can’t wait to work alongside this talented group and to contribute in any way possible to the success of this great organization. ”

Padre, enthroned to the team’s fame of the team in 2023, won 19 games with an MPM of 2.54 and 240 stick withdrawals in his youth season. He had 92-68 with an MPM of 3.29 and 1,348 stick withdrawals in 212 departures with the team from 2002 to 2009.

Peavy was selected by the Padres in the 15th round of the 1999 amateur recovery. He also launched for the White Sox of Chicago, Boston and San Francisco and retired after the 2016 season with a record of 152-126 and 3.63 MPM in 15 seasons.
