The Chiefs are nearing the deadline to activate wide receiver/returner Mecole Hardman off injured reserve.
But head coach Andy Reid said during his Monday video conference that Kansas City has not decided whether or not Hardman will be brought back to the 53-man roster.
“We’ll see how it goes here“Reid said via Matt McMullen on the team’s website. “I haven’t made a decision on that yet, but he’s been working hard to try to get back together. We’ll see how it all goes. »
Hardman was designated to return from IR during the final week of the regular season. Hardman participated in practice on a limited basis all last week.
In 12 games this season, Hardman has caught 12 passes for 90 yards and rushed five times for 62 yards with one touchdown. He also averaged 10.2 yards per punt return and 26.4 yards on five kick returns.
Last year, Hardman caught the game-winning touchdown in Super Bowl LVIII.
