One of the best attackers from Florida Panthers has taken an important step.
The Sam Bennett center has reached a new point of points in points.
Bennett won a decisive pass on the goal of Gus Forsling Wednesday evening in Toronto.
The point was the 50th of the Bennett season, going beyond the brand he set in his first full season with the Panthers in 2021-2022.
It was also the 25th assist of Bennett, which also established a new career summit.
Not too shabby for the free agent without restriction of 28 years.
He also set a new career brand this season with seven power goals.
It was not a secret for anyone that Bennett has played the best hockey in his professional career since its acquisition by Florida on the NHL trade deadline in 2021.
The old fourth overall choice turned out to be a crucial member of the panthers, the one that corresponds to the style that the team is looking to play with a T-shirt.
Bennett and the Panthers have in progress interviews concerning a contract extension, we will therefore have to wait and see if the two parties can conclude an agreement somewhere before the offseason.
Stay listening.
