Ben Johnson found his two best coordinators.
The new coach of Chicago Bears hired his offensive and defensive coordinators on Sunday afternoon, according to several reports. The team has concluded an agreement with the former Chief of New Orleans, Dennis Allen, to become their next defensive coordinator. They also agreed with the coach for tight ends of Denver Broncos, Declan Doyle, to become their next offensive coordinator.

Allen has spent the last three seasons as a chief coach in New Orleans, although he was dismissed after only nine games last season. He marked his second passage as a chief coach in the League, after a three-year race with the Oakland Raiders. Allen was the defensive coordinator of the Denver Broncos for a year before his visit to Oakland, then he spent seven seasons as a defensive coordinator of the saints before being promoted to the first job in 2022.
Allen went only 18-25 and failed to make the qualifiers during his time at the top of the saints. He was dismissed after a gross late loss At the Carolina Panthers, who crowned a loss of seven games after consecutive victories to start the year.
Doyle has spent the last two seasons with the Broncos, where he has worked as a tight coach. Before that, the 28 -year -old Iowa graduate spent four seasons with the saints alongside Allen as an offensive assistant coach in what was his first job in the League.
Johnson, after spending the last three seasons as an offensive coordinator of the Detroit lions, was Hired to replace Matt Eberflus in Chicago earlier this month. He also retained on Sunday the coordinator of special teams Richard Hightower. Now, with three of his main coordinators in place, he can start working to transform the franchise and lead them to what would be their first appearance in the playoffs in half a decade.
