We can see For victory readers are passionate about their TV theme songs after a close battle between Bracket Madness that ended with a Fresh Prince of Bel-Air earn.

While this isn’t a digression, it’s a list you can discuss for a while. These are various theme songs from network coverage of live events and sports-centric television broadcasts. Here’s the countdown of the best tracks:

25. NFL on NBC (1990s)

It’s just a variation of the notes from “NBC” and a hokey string arrangement.

24. NBA on TNT

We all love watching Chuck, Shaq and Co. on TNT, the theme song never seems completely fitting and isn’t as hummable or memorable as the others on this list.

23. MLB on Fox

This looks a lot like NFL on Fox theme, but this level of intensity creates an uncanny fit with the sport.

22. College Football on CBS

Uh.

21. NBA on ESPN

A bit bland, to be honest.

20. Wait all day Sunday evening

You will never be able to listen to Joan Jett the same way again.

19. NHL on NBC

The bells are a really nice touch, but that’s it.

18. United States Open

My colleague Luke Kerr-Dineen, a golf enthusiast, tells me the fans love it. It sounds more like election night cover music, but that’s not the worst thing.

17. NFL on CBS

It’s not the most current theme song, but it gets your heart pumping before a series of NFL games.

16. Sunday Night Football

He brings the drama of a film score with music that sounds like it came from NFL Films. Good, but there’s better.

15. NHL on ESPN

Maybe it’s because I spent a lot of time growing up watching hockey on ESPN, but this theme song still gives me chills.

14. Hard knocks

Totally and utterly underrated.

13. The Masters

As far as songs go, it’s a bit on the molasses side. But this is the Masters, and like everything about the Masters, sometimes it’s okay to be wary.

12. MLB on ESPN

Honestly, I’m not sure what this theme song does to me, but it comes to mind.

11. Champions League

Beautiful, isn’t it?

ten. ESPN College Game Day

Of course, it’s corny. Very, very cheesy. But you have to admit that it turns you on on a Saturday morning.

9. HBO Boxing 24/7

BRB, I’m putting this on my gym playlist.

8. Are you ready?

This has nothing to do with Hank Williams Jr.’s politics. and the comments that led to the song’s removal Since Monday Night Football emissions. As for the song itself, it’s exciting.

7. Monday Night Football

Four words: Dun-dun-dun-dunnnnnnnnn!

6. Hockey Night in Canada (original)

Simply a classic.

5. College Basketball on CBS

Recency bias is at play here, but we all live to hear this in March.

4. NFL on Fox

Add in Joe Buck’s voice saying hello from the broadcast booth and it’s almost perfect.

3. Olympics theme song

If you can’t get enough of a theme song, it deserves to be rated this high.

2. Sports center (1990s)

There was no better time in the 1990s than going to the TV right at the top of the hour to hear “Dun-nah-NAH!” Dun-nah-NAH! » followed by presenters showing all the sporting highlights you missed the day before.

1. NBA on NBC

It’s the GOAT, everyone. Some reasons why:

1. This is probably the best composition on this list.

2. It was written by John Tesh.

3. It’s called Round ball rock.

4. This performance by Tesh is the greatest, with him playing his old answering machine with a cassette tape that contained the original idea for the theme. Plus, he dribbles a fake basketball.

5. It worked Perfectly with NBC’s always great game intros
