Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko and his team completed the 2026 recruiting class, signing all 26 commitswhile adding a four-star running back Carsyn Bakerwho decommitted from Florida earlier this week. With all but one of the 2026 signees expected to head to College Station in early January, the focus now shifts to the 2027 recruiting cycle.
After receiving several predictions aimed at landing several 2027 prospects, including five-star cornerback John Meredith, Rivals/On3 insider Sam Spiegelman revealed that two of the Aggies’ priority 2027 prospects in the South Central region of the country are close to announcing their commitments. First, four-star Kaden McCarty, who also received a prediction to land with the Aggies, visited Texas A&M last month but is also considering Houston.
“EDGE four-star Kaden McCarty will leave the board on December 8. Texas, Texas A&M, Houston, Baylor and Texas Tech are finalists for Rivals300 Houston (Texas) defenseman Cy Falls, who has visited College Station and Houston over the past month. Texas A&M began to stand out from the pack early in the fall. I’m still confident in my current prediction that the Aggies will come out on top in this one. »
After landing two top edge prospects in the 2026 cycle, it’s no surprise that the coaching staff has made significant gains with the Houston native, who is quickly rising up the rankings, currently positioned at No. 11 in the 2027 class.

Four-star offensive lineman Kaeden Scott, who is also a favorite to land with the Aggies, is from the San Antonio area and attended the season finale between Texas A&M and Texas last Friday in Austin. The Longhorns wouldn’t have the inside track with the standout pass protector, and Texas A&M remains the leader heading into the new year.
Four-star OT Kaeden Scott has been getting closer to his college decision for the past few weeks. Speaking with sources informed about this recruitment, we have the feeling that it will not be long before he makes his decision public. San Antonio (Texas) powerhouse offensive lineman Roosevelt made three visits to College Station this fall. Scott also returned to Texas for the regular season finale against the Aggies, who have been hot in this recruiting game for weeks. As we get closer to a decision, I like Texas A&M’s position.
Scott, who stands nearly 6’7″ and weighs over 285 pounds, is ideally suited to play and develop under Texas A&M offensive line coach Adam Cushing.
