Four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka had some important news to share with her fans this Friday.
Osaka, 28, has had a bounce-back season on the WTA Tour. The former world number one really came into her own at the National Bank Open, beating Jelena Ostapenko, Elina Svitolina and Clara Tauson en route to the final. That momentum carried over to the US Open, where she fell short to Amanda Anisimova in a three-set semifinal.

“It took so much hard work that you didn’t see, I’m just grateful to my team and happy to be healthy,” Osaka said after reaching the semifinals at Flushing Meadows.
Speaking of the Osaka team, some changes will be made for the 2026 season.

Change agency.
In 2022, Osaka announced that she and her agent, Stuart Duguid, had co-founded their own sports agency called Evolve. They signed Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios as their first client.

“Wow,” one fan responded to Osaka’s announcement.
“End of the year with all the breakups!! The stage is set for an interesting 2026,” another fan said. “I’m both worried and excited. Here we go!!”

“I hope you still went and got a check for your reputation,” one social media user said.
Duguid did not comment on Osaka’s departure. It is unclear whether this decision came as a surprise to all parties involved.
According to tennis journalist Ben RothenbergOsaka is expected to return to IMG.
Osaka has yet to share her plans for the 2026 season. As always, she will have fans in her corner.
