Super Bowl 2025: Eagles have a different concentration this time against chefs, hoping for a different result

New Orleans – The Eagles of Philadelphia joked on Monday. It was the opening evening of the Super Bowl, after all.

AJ Brown caught a Jameis Winston’s W -shaped cookie – eat a wget it? – And lasted. Darius Slay Jr. had a moment with Vinny Curry, his former Eagles teammate, remembering Pudding to bananas. Jordan Malata jumped from the podium to greet a media member he recognized from Australia. Lane Johnson joked about how he was happy Jason Kelce and the congestion around his locker had disappeared.

It seemed very fun.

“Well, honestly, I don’t have fun,” said Slay. “I don’t try to have fun. I am mainly on a business trip.”

This is not the first Super bowl For Slay or many of his teammates. Two years ago, they came to the Super Bowl and lost against the Chiefs of Kansas City. It clearly stuck with them. A theme of the Eagles on Monday evening was the accent, not on being in a super bowl but winning it this time.

“My first super bowl experience, I had a little fun,” said Slay. “I do not say in a way to have fun, but more appreciating what was going on. Now that I am here twice, I am composed. I was composed during the match (two years ago), but I Am more like, I said to my family: “I will see you all when I will see you all.

The Eagles played again to play chiefs, a team that goes beyond the novelty of being in the Super Bowl. The chiefs are not there to take advantage of the experience of a week of the Super Bowl, and that may be why they have won so much and have become a dynasty.

The Eagles treat the Super Bowl differently this time. And hoping for a different result.

Eagles have unfinished affairs

Eagles players did not necessarily say that a lack of concentration was a problem during the week of the Super Bowl two years ago. But a lot of things happened during the two weeks preceding the game.

While they were in the opening evening, with wacky questions from all angles as usual, it is a different feeling around the Eagles of this Super Bowl.

“All of these media things are cool, but none of this matters,” said Brown. “This is the game.”

It is easy to be distracted, between the family who arrives for the game, the requests for tickets and the availability of the media. It was not that the Eagles were not serious the last time, they seem to have a different maturity of the situation this time.

“Focusing on us and blocking guys (the media) is somehow the goal all year round,” said Malata. “Make sure, as repetitive as it may seem, keep the main essential.”

The last time the Eagles played the chiefs, they lost 38-35 on a basket with eight seconds to play. A loss that closes the bites for a while, and you are wondering if small things like the experience in manipulation of Super Bowl week may have made a difference.

Eagles remember the loss of difficult super bowl

The Eagles played the hard chiefs in the Super Bowl LVII. Jalen Hurts had what was probably the best game of his career, rallying Philadelphia to equality with just over five minutes. But Patrick Mahomes, as he has often done in his career, appeared in the most critical moments. The chiefs had a long journey in the last minutes for the winning score of the match.

“You can’t really spend your time looking at the past, if you look behind you, you will never go ahead,” said the defensive tackle Jordan Davis. “But obviously, you want to learn from your mistakes.

“We have another opportunity in front of our faces to rewrite a story that we have.”

This is why there are changes in the approach of Philadelphia at the Super Bowl week this time. The slightest improvement could make the difference in a three -point game.

“As you go through any game in the NFL you play, any game I have trained while you play, you think about the things you have done, then you think To the things you have not done well and how you can improve these things, “said Eagles coach Nick Sirianni. “This is something we have experienced when we came back from Phoenix. Hey, here is what we did well, here is what we have not done well, and you try to improve these things. I do not Will not enter things it has been changed by the daily organization of a week of the Super Bowl, but there are things that we do a little different to try to improve our last experience.

The Eagles attended the opening evening, like each Super Bowl team before them. It’s always a show and they laughed all the bizarre questions about Kendrick Lamar or the bad habits of cottage of their teammates. But they made sure to continue to remind the media – perhaps remembering too – that there is a different orientation this time.

“It’s in the moment, being where your feet are,” said Malata. “Make sure that we do not involve the biggest moment than it is.”
