Steve Kerr doesn’t blame Jordan Poole for last season’s struggles

Before Warriors of the Golden State began its 2022-23 season, its roster was surrounded by controversy. The altercation between Green Draymond And Jordan Poole had become a major topic for sports fans around the world. Golden State never broke through that cloud and struggled to find the unity that made them such a tough roster to play against over the past decade.

After the Warriors’ victory on November 1 against the Kings of SacramentoGreen and Klay Thompson shared his opinions on chemistry issues who ruined the team last season. However, the head coach Steve Kerr don’t think it’s fair to blame Jordan Poole. The veteran coach shared his opinion during a recent appearance on 95.7 The Game’s “Willard & Dibs” show.

ā€œI think it’s unfair that people just point to Jordan,ā€ Kerr said. “That’s not true. Last time went wrong for a lot of different reasons. Jordan was fantastic during his time here. He helped us win a championship. I hate that he gets criticism. Last year went wrong for a number of reasons, and we all share responsibility for that… I think last year we were just overloaded with young people and trying to train too many people at the same time. It was unfair to all the young people that we have so many at the same time.

To begin the 2023-24 season, the Warriors have rediscovered the chemistry that has allowed them to be such a dominant force in the NBA. If they can continue to work together and play for the good of the team, their chances of success will improve significantly.
