After more than a year of waiting, 2022 No. 2 pick Chet Holmgren finally made his true NBA debut with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Victory 124-104 above Chicago Bulls.
The season opener marked the debut of Holmgren after missing all of last season while recovering from a Lisfranc injury he suffered during the 2022 offseason.
In the 20-point win, Holmgren finished with 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting, four rebounds and three assists in 25 minutes. He also went 2 of 3 from 3.
The 21-year-old is expected to play a huge role for the Thunder this season as the starting center.
Let’s check out some of the best reactions on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Chet Holmgren in his first half of his first NBA game has the same number of 3-pointers in his Thunder career as former Thunder starting centers Steven Adams and Kendrick Perkins did in their combined 12 years in OKC.
