Shohei Ohtani got closer to his possible return to pitch, launching an enclosure session of 26 points before the Dodgers of Los Angeles‘ 3-1 Victory on Philadelphia Phillies SATURDAY.
Ohtani did not work through all of his locations during the session, launching any broken ball. But hole coach Mark Prior said a few separators were included in the mixture.

The double -directed star launched a session of the Light Lights Enclosure Thursday before working from a mound on Saturday. It was the third time that Ohtani had been launched since February 25, when the Dodgers released him so that he could focus on the preparations before the team played the Tokyo series of two games from March 18 to 19.
The dodgers have not yet determined a calendar for the return of Ohtani to the mound. However, manager Dave Roberts said the plan was to get it a regular launching schedule. With that, Ohtani would throw again Thursday.
“It’s a week, but there is also one between the two, where he touches the mound on Thursday,” said Roberts, via mlb.com. “And I think it’s just more to try to keep it on a similar program of seven days, and what the calendar would (like) come out and build from there.”
If it were spring training, Ohtani would probably throw every two to three days. But he is not yet quite there because he is built After surgery of the off -season shoulder And an elbow procedure in September 2023. Ohtani has not yet faced living strikers in its recovery.
“I think the next phase would be to use all of its pitch mixture, then what it would imply, probably as an enclosure of 30, 35 pitch,” added Roberts, via the County Orange register. “This is sort of the next step.”
When Ohtani returns to the rotation of the Dodgers, the team plans to use a departure staff for six men. But the ultimate goal might be ready to launch it in time for the playoffs, as Ken Rosenthal said during the Fox broadcast on Saturday.
