Augusta National is the type of course where we have seen the players live some of the highest and the lowest of the stockings. The wrecks of the train are almost as memorable as moments of glory. We asked the participants at the Masters of Past and Present to name their worst blow to Augusta National, and almost a man, they had no trouble remembering the time that everything happened horribly bad. (Adam Scott was a lonely exception that had selective amnesia for this question.) From Hero to Zero to Augusta? It happens, but at least most of the players were able to laugh now.
Akshay Bhatia
I struck a snap-hook out of 17 in 15 Fairway which was quite ugly.
Billy Horschel
I turned it in the water at No. 12 a few years ago.
Brian Harman
I filmed a corner in the water on the 13th last year on my first hole after restarting. It was a pretty bad blow.
Collin Morikawa
N ° 9. Last year. The combination of the bunker approach and shooting was bad and bad.
COREY CONNERS
12th Hole, after hitting my starting stroke in the stream, I fell and stuck it in the stream. I played with Jordan Spieth that day and he said to me: “Very familiar with that.”
Gary player
It was the year I finished second behind Jack (1964). I had the most perfect lie on 15 and I hit it in the water. It didn’t even look like a good blow.
Gary Woodland
I hit him out of the limits out of 5, which is quite bad. I hit him in the bunker at n ° 7 for eight consecutive bullets. This second blow is the most boring blow for me.
Harris English
I came short of 15 times, posing on it and looked like an idiot with an iron at 4.
Hideki Matsuyama
I thought it was the best blow, but it resulted in the worst blow was the second shot on 15 when I won the Masters. He just went into the water.
Jason Day
I struck a lot of bad shots at 11 which did not sniff green. But in 2013, I supported my best blow that I never struck with my worst. I pulled it long left. I was not dead but I did not give myself enough time to get back in neutral.
Justin Thomas
I have a madman who is on Youtube where I had a 4 feet by 7 and he was blowing at least 30 rights on the right and I missed the putt per inch and he went down to the front of the green at about 40 feet distance.
Keegan Bradley
I struck a lot of shots on 1. I remember hitting a shot from the Fairway middle and hit him by the ninth tee and I made triple, the first hole in the tournament.
Kevin Kisner
Explained a bunker shooting at 7 in 2019 when I was in the top 8 approximately. I was in the front bunker, the simplest from top to bottom of the world and I was cold around 17.
Ludvig Aberg
I threw it into the water at 11 in the last round last year.
Matt Kuchar
I put one in the counter of the Delta box (tee crochet fired at n ° 2). It’s a standing out.
Rickie Fowler
It would probably be the second blow in 10. I do not remember what year it was, but I doubled the first and I doubled the number 10, but I had one of my best shots. I had 21 putts and I pulled 68 but the second blow that I struck in 10, I hit it in the bushes, on the hill, on the right of 10, green.
Russell Henley
There is a crest in the fifth green and it goes along the front and I was at the front on the left, pin almost at the back on the right. You have to put it along this ridge, then it grabs a swale and it goes left in the hole. I hit the worst putt you’ve ever seen there.
Stewart cink
18th Tee, I struck a traction and struck with trees. I was hitting my second blow from the slope.
Tony Finau
I surmounted a driver of the bridge over eight once. He didn’t even get up the hill. I almost missed the ball. He went 80 meters. It was embarrassing
Webb Simpson
Stage on 16.
Will Zalatoris
I stamped a corner in the water on the 12th in 2022 and I made a good bogey, then I started to pour another corner in the water at 90 meters at 13 years old and I went to see my coach Josh Gregory and I said: “We have to work on the corners of this season.”
Wyndham Clark
On the green out of 14 in two, I had a creative chip and it almost entered, then I drove at least 30 feet distance.
Xander Schauffele
16 in 2021. It was a bad timing to hit a bad blow. The next shot was worse, hit it on green.
Zach Johnson
I hit people. It’s always clumsy and unpleasant. I missed so many short putts and it’s always frustrating. I had a starting at 18 and he barely struck my club face. He struck my club’s toe. And went well.
Adam Scott
So many choices, but none comes to mind. I don’t know, I have to block all the bad ones.
