Seth Curry Reportedly Joining Warriors, Playing With Brother Stephen For First Time In NBA

It took 12 seasons, but Seth Curry and Stephen Curry are about to play together. Seth will reportedly re-sign with the Golden State Warriors on Monday, according to Shams Charania of ESPN.

The move was expected since the Warriors waived Seth in October.

Seth originally signed with the Warriors in September, but was abandoned by the team a month later for salary cap reasons. The team had more roster flexibility in December, which led to the re-signing of Seth.

Seth has carved out a great career for himself despite playing on many different teams. Over his last 11 years in the NBA, Seth played for nine different franchises. But he’s never played with his brother…until now.

Seth, like Stephen, is an elite three-point shooter. Seth has a career shooting percentage of .433 from beyond the arc. That’s actually higher than Stephen’s career .423 shooting percentage from three.

The Warriors almost certainly intend to use Seth in a pure shooting role, allowing him to drain threes from long range. As an added benefit, Seth will be able to play with his brother for the first time in his NBA career.

Seth had to wait a while for the move to finally happen, but him teaming up with Stephen might be worth it.
