Longhorns Star Trevor Goosby adds to his trophy case. On Monday, the veteran was recognized for his outstanding play against Texas A&M when he was named best Co-Offensive Lineman of the Week. This is the first conference honor bestowed upon Goosby during his collegiate career.
Against the No. 3 team in the country, Goosby was the highest-rated offensive lineman. He helped keep the Longhorns the offense rolls along allowing no sacks or pressures. With Goosby leading the way, Texas recorded 218 rushing yards and 397 total yards against the nation’s 15th-ranked total defense. What made Goosby’s game so impressive was who he fought against.
Melissa High Grad took on the SEC sacks leader. However, this didn’t bother him as Goosby stopped everything that came his way. The Aggies entered their game against Texas ranked first in the nation in sacks, but they only applied one pressure.

While the 2025 campaign was full of ups and downs, the Longhorns couldn’t have asked for a better finish. Against one of the best teams in the country, they held on even though their playoff hopes hung by a thread. Their determination allowed players like Goosby to shine.
With two years of eligibility remaining, Goosby should continue to be a fixture next year. If he can build on his success against the Aggies, then he could become one of the Longhorns’ most important players on the offensive line.
