Andrew Novak has already had the best season of his career in 2025 – and he’s not done yet.

The 30-year-old won his first Tour title alongside teammate Ben Griffin at the Zurich Classic, in addition to earning a total of five top-10 finishes, including a second. Novak has banked more than $7.6 million in winnings and easily moved into the top 50 on the FedEx Cup points list. The pressure is off this week regarding job security, but now, with a one-shot lead heading into the weekend, he has a chance to score the first solo win of his career.
“I had a baby just two weeks ago, I just got out of the house and I’m happy to be here and other guys are fighting for their jobs,” Novak said after his round on Friday. “It’s a huge advantage for me this week. I’m a little less lucky. I really want to win. It’s a local tournament so I have extra motivation to play well here. But some guys have their whole year to play this week.”
The agony and ecstasy of the 2025 PGA Tour season will culminate on Sunday. But first: there’s the third round.
