The Seahawks corner half, Riq Woolen, started 47 of the 49 games he played during his four -year career. His status for week 2, however, is in doubt.
“We will see,” said coach Mike Macdonald on Wednesday when asked if Wooolen would start against the Steelers on Sunday.
Woolen granted a completion of 45 yards to Ricky Pearsall with 2:30 am to play in Sunday’s match against the 49ers. Five played later, Woolen allowed Jake Tonges to take the winner touch with 1:34 to play.
“I’m just at attack the ball“Woolen told Brady Henderson de Brady Henderson on Wednesday.” That’s almost everything. “”
Woolen does not know if his role will change this week, but Josh Jobe has saved more playing time. Jobe played 61 of the 76 snaps on Sunday and had an interception and two plated.
“Josh is ready to leave,” said Macdonald. “He will always be a large part of the match plan. He’s competing for more clichĂ©s, and I thought he had played a huge football match. He played physical. He played smart. He played disciplined, finishing properly. I thought he had played a big game.”
Woolen is still listed on the depth board like the opposite starter Devon Witherspoon, but Macdonald sounds like a change arrives.
“You go out and you produce, why won’t we play?” Macdonald said.
