The rumor rumor that led to this point
Rumors have arisen this season of a conflict between Miller and Center Pettersson, and they did not even stop picking up the Christmas holidays. The two players denied an existing rift between them. Miller told journalists that they were wasting their time.
“It’s good,” Pettersson told journalists at the end of December. “I don’t know why people try to do it —.”
The captain of the Canucks Quinn Hughes and coach Rick Tocchet also said in late December that disagreements were going to occur, and this is the common objective.
On January 28, the Globe and mail Published an interview with the president of hockey operations in Canucks, Jim Rutherford, who recognized certain chemistry problems.
“I had felt for a long time that there was a solution here because everyone worked there, including the parties involved,” said Rutherford Globe and mail. “But that is only resolved for a short period of time, then it is done again, and it therefore seems certainly that there is not a good solution that would keep this group together.”
Rutherford added that it was difficult to be a coherent team when it happens too much in the locker room to focus on what to do on the ice.
Commercial rumors and speculation have circulated with scenarios for Miller and scenarios for Pettersson. The cannucks ended up exchanging Miller.
More to come.
