Tom Brady’s meeting with Matthew Stafford was apparently productive.
The raiders and the staff camp found common ground on what a new contract could look like, the Las Vegas Journal reports.
Although the “common ground” is not the same as to actually accept the terms of a contract, the report strongly suggests if Rams and Raiders can reach an agreement on a business, staff and raiders can reach an agreement on a contract.
The question of whether Rams and Raiders can agree is another matter. The same report indicates that raiders “want to keep the choice n ° 6 at all costs”. If the raiders do not separate from their first -round choice to obtain Stafford, the raiders may not obtain Stafford even if they are on the same wavelength on the quantity of paying staff.
It is always possible that Rams keep staff. In fact, raiders finding common ground with staff on a contract could help Rams and staff find their own common ground. But the Rams opened the door to the movement of staff by giving it permission to speak to other teams. And the raids’ talks with Stafford seem productive.
