Henson was an offensive line player at Oklahoma State playing in his last game.
On the opposite touch line was Joe Tiller, during his first season of Purdue coach. The boilermakers, led by the Senior Billy Dicken quarterrier, beat Oklahoma State 33-20 in the Alamo Bowl.

“They were really good. They were strong,” recalls Henson of 1997 boilers. “They were physical. They were hard. They played a very technical football brand.
