The former Rugby Star of Wales, Louis Rees-Zammit, was signed as a wide receiver with Jacksonville Jaguars.

The agreement means that the Welshman can continue to strive to present himself to his ambition to participate in the NFL after having moved from rugby union with the country of Wales and Gloucester in January 2024.

Rees-Zammit will again participate between 90 players for a place in the team of 53 people from the Jaguars for the NFL season, which begins in September.

The 24 -year -old can also remain a member of his training team due to the rules concerning his transition via the International Sport Players program.

It can also be promoted twice on an active list of the NFL during the season without Jaguars losing one of their 53 regular.

The former wing wing was a free agent after the jaguars chose not to sign him in a reserve / future contract, he was therefore able to negotiate with a team.

Rees-Zammit shocked rugby rugby in January 2024 when he announced that he was leaving sport to get into the international course of NFL players, an intensive 10-week course designed to teach and assess the players .

Initially signed with the Kansas City chiefs for pre-season training, He moved to Jacksonville last August And will now stay there for the next step in its development.

Rees-Zammit scored 14 tests for Wales in 32 games. His last appearance for the national team was in defeat in the quarterfinals of the World Cup against Argentina, the first defeat of what has become a record of 14 consecutive defeats which led to the departure of Warren Gatland at the Course of the Six Nations in 2025.

The New Deal also rejects any notion that Rees-Zammit could return to rugby in the near future.

Rees-Zammit has not yet appeared in the NFL, but He played three pre-season games For the chiefs and was in New Orleans to watch its former employers miss a third successive triumph of the Super Bowl.
