In a recent NBA simulation draft of Brian Lewis of the New York Postthe Spurs have picked up Nikola Topic.
“If Risacher fell to them, the addition of Wembanyama’s compatriot could be intriguing. But the winger most likely to be there is Topic, 18, a big guard who has impressive passing ability and shot creation,” Lewis wrote. “His knee needs to be healthy and he needs to perfect his jumper – hitting just 30 percent from 3-point range.
“But he’s a young pick for a young team on the rise. San Antonio desperately needs playmakers and could use shooting around Wembanyama. The subject might provide both… one day.
The Spurs need to add some playmaking this summer, and Topic could be the perfect guy to target.
