Forwards Chris Wagner and Tye Felhaber, the latter of whom just signed a new two-way contract with the team, have been placed on waivers. Wagner was cleared and Felhaber’s placement was announced Wednesday.
Wagner played 22 games with the Avalanche this season and 5 with their AHL affiliate, the Colorado Eagles. Wagner scored a goal with each club in each of those periods. He had already been placed on exemption on November 14. Due to waiver requirements, Wagner had to be placed on waivers again in order to be returned to the AHL, which was announced Tuesday morning. He was cleared on Wednesday. This is his third waiver transaction of the season.
