In the midst of mixed reports on Real Madrid’s intentions on the transfer market next summer, Fichajes recently said that Los blancos are looking for a new midfielder.
In fact, Real Madrid is ready to compete with Manchester City next summer, in the race to sign one of the best talents in the midfield in Europe.
Real Madrid and Man City to compete for Joao Neves
The player in question is none other than Joao Neves, the former prodigy of Benfica, who was a huge success since he joined PSG last summer.
With 36 competitive appearances this season, Neves has become a key element in the configuration of the Luis Enrique midfielder, impressive spectators with his ability to control the tempo of the game.
The technical quality of Neves is also unequaled in the PSG team, which is why Man City and Real Madrid are interested in its services.
The report adds that Man City coach Pep Guardiola seeks to consolidate the rows in the midfield, Neves emerging as the ideal target.
As for Real Madrid, the European champions have identified Neves as a potential replacement of Eduardo Camavonga.
Difficulties with form and physical form this season, Camavonga was linked to the distance from the Santiago Bernabeu next summer, although no concrete report was revealed.
If Camavanga left the Bernabeu next season, Real Madrid should go after Joao Neves to direct replacement.
That said, the acquisition of the services of the Portuguese international could be difficult because PSG will not be too eager to unload their midfielder a year after having signed it.
Interesting, PSG has become one of the potential contenders For Camavanta next summer, it will therefore be interesting to see if Real Madrid can conclude an agreement with the French champions.
