All seasons, Athleticism does a survey of NHL players where they ask questions for players to answer anonymously. By The Athletic team, some questions include best player in the NHL, underrated player, etc. The Buffalo Sabers have been involved in some issues, one for the wrong reason and one for the right reason. Let’s start with the negative, where players were asked what their least favorite road city to play in was.
Unfortunately, it’s not much of a surprise that Buffalo is at the top of the list. “It seems bleak when you get there. » “There’s not much in Buffalo.” These are the only quotes from the survey. Yes, we always hear about how cold it is and how there is nothing to do, that’s all that needs to be said.
The other question involving Buffalo was, “Who is the best player in the league and whose face do you want to punch the most?” » Brad Marchand was clearly the favorite, followed by other players. However, there was one Sabers player on the list. According to one player, Jeff Skinner is the guy from the Sabres. “He’s just boring to play against.”
We all know what a Sabers fan favorite Skinner is. His lively play could be a reason. Although he is a good scorer, he has a nasty side. He’s not a guy who makes a big check or drops the gloves, but he’s a talker. It’s very funny to see his facial reactions when he chirps at an opponent.
As much as we all love him, it’s good to have a player like that on the team. Buffalo needs more players that can be boring to play against, so it’s nice to see players from other teams say something like that about a member of the Sabres.
