After some problems to open the 2025 indoor football league season, the Rattlers settled and exploded the Rival Tucson Sugar Skulls 56-28 on Sunday, March 30, before 9,345 Desert Diamond Arena fans.
The Rattlers unveiled their 2024 championship banner, then, after the fans sang the national anthem in Cappella due to a technical problem, the Rattlers offensive needed some games to enter a pace.

It was a quick solution.
The quarter Dalton Sneed, only needs a few days of practice, showed why he was the MVP of the IFL championship match last year, eliminating rust and leading the Rattlers to an advance of 35-10 at halftime.
In addition to an exchange of sampling between Sneed and the ball carrier Ron Brown Jr., and an interception he launched in a third dull quarter, the Rattlers click as if he were at the end of the season and the championship at stake.
“Maybe it was nerves in this first trimester, jumping on the sides,” said Sneed. “Or this exchange. These are little things, but it is a feeling of concentration. We must be locked up. We cannot allow our emotions to be so excited that we do not think clearly.

“I say to these guys all the time,” go as we play. “When we go out in practice, we must be in the middle:” Ok, here is the first reader. Calm down and be us.
Sneed launched two Touché passes and ran for another in half time. The defense made a quick declaration with Ethan Caselberry intercepting Jordan Ambrose on the opening of Tucson and returning him 40 meters for a score.
Nick Davila Honoré
The former legendary quarter Nick Davila was inducted into the Ring of Rattlers with half-time. Davila led the Rattlers to three consecutive titles from Arenabowl from 2012-14.

Davila had to retain tears during his nine -minute speech, in which he appointed all his teammates, thanking them, his family, his property and his coaches.
“It was his night,” said coach Kevin Guy. “His family was there. We had many former players here. They were in the stands. I expected to see them on the field. Maybe security did not leave them. But I know that many former players came out here for him.
“Nick was a big leader. I am so synchronized with him when he played for us. He moved two streets. We could see a lot from the other and how we attack the defenses. It was good to see his family. I was very happy for him.”
In the second period, and during most of the third quarter, the Rattlers looked lost. SNEED launched an interception. The Rattlers stopped on another possession.

The sugar skulls cashed the two moments, then converted a conversion to two points to get less than 35-28 with two minutes to do in the third trimester.
SNEED then connected with a 35 yard TD at Yo’Heinz Tyler to push the advance at 42-28 at the end of the quarter.
Tucson’s special teams kept him in the match with two goals on the field of 40 yards by Kevin Macias and two long kick -off returns.
But after the last return, the Rattlers made a goal line when James Nyamwaya stopped Devonte Sapp-Lennch for a 1-rod defeat in fourth place at Arizona 4.
The Rattlers put the match with about 10 minutes to do when Sneed, in fourth and 6 years, found Isaiah Huston in the corner of the goal area for 28 yards and an advance of 49-28.

“The first three or four games are like pre-season matches,” said Guy. “We learn a lot on our team. It’s just a game of adjustments these first three or four weeks. It is a question of improving a little every week and growing up.”
