5. HUNTER WR NYZIAH
Hunter was a huge surprise for Cal this season. The redshirt freshman played a lot more than expected and put up huge numbers — 40 catches, 578 receiving yards and five touchdowns — for a player who wasn’t expected to contribute much this year. Now he’s leaving Nebraska where he should help Dylan Raiola bring some juice to the Cornhusker offense.
6. RB CJ DONALDSON
West Virginia fans have a lot to look forward to Rich Rodriguez but losing Donaldson dulls the excitement a bit. The star running back has been the driving force behind the Mountaineer offense over the past two years (1,532 rushing yards and 22 touchdowns). Now they will have to rely on Jahiem White and their other backs to carry the load.
7. RB QUINTEN JOYNER
Joyner was USC’s No. 2 running back last season, but, like many other impact players, he’s heading to a new destination. If USC is trending downward, Texas Technology does exactly the opposite. Now they’re bringing in Browne from Purduea veteran quarterback who also has ties to the New England area. 10. OL MILES MCVAY
If North Carolina hopes to have more success on offense this season, they need to improve their offensive line. They’ve already lost some important pieces to the transfer portal, but now McVay is coming in to help plug those holes. The huge Rivals250 class of 2023 has extremely high potential and learning under the guidance of Bill Belichick and his staff should help McVay develop at a faster rate.
