The New York Rangers will sport a different shade of blue this season.
On Friday, Rangers announced the addition of their new third jersey which will be worn 10 times throughout the season.
The jersey features the iconic Rangers shield as its crest, which was only worn from 1976 to 1978 by the team.
The navy blue color of the sweaters represents New York nights.
Red, white and blue stripes line the sleeves and bottom of the jersey to represent the lights of Madison Square Garden, the busy traffic and the hustle and bustle of the city.
