Emma Raducanu, Great Britain, will play for the first time in a qualification draw since her fairy tale will take place as open US 2021 after having offered a joker in the preliminary stage of the open of Abu Dhabi next week.
Raducanu, 22, travels with his fitness coach Yutaka Nakamura, but is without a trainer who followed Nick Cavaday’s decision to resign for health reasons.
The world number 56 reached the third round of the Australian Open, but then lost a Three -hour match in the first round at Cristina Bucsa at the Singapore Open on Monday.
In New York four years ago, Raducanu won three qualification games and seven in the main draw without dropping a set to become The first qualifier in history to win a Grand Chelem title.
The astonishing nature of this achievement has led to many generic invitations in tournaments, but there were times when its classification was lower than the entry of qualifying seemed a strong option.
“I think that playing qualities is not something against which I am,” Raducanu told BBC Sport last August.
“If you pass through these two laps, you feel that you are adapted to the field. If you play a seed, you have a better eye for the ball, a better sensation – it’s not at all against.”
The world number five Elena Rybakina, the semi-finalist of the Australian Open Paula Badosa and the British number one Katie Boulter are among the players with a main entrance to Abu Dhabi.
Raducanu will first be in action on Saturday, when the qualifications for the WTA 500 event begin.
