Former MLSSoccer.com host and reporter Rachel Bonnetta has joined FOX Sports as co-host of its daily social media series “Soccer @TheBuzzer.” She will also host original video series for FOX Sports Digital and contribute to FS1’s soccer coverage.
Bonnetta made her debut on FOX Sports today with this “Football @TheBuzzer” video.
“Soccer @TheBuzzer” will expand its coverage to 7 days a week, up from 5 days a week, with the addition of Bonnetta and current “Soccer @TheBuzzer” co-host Nicole Dabeau.
@TheBuzzer is a series of daily short-form videos covering the latest news and trending topics in sports.
The videos are posted multiple times per day on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube and are featured throughout FS1 programming.
Weekly video views for “Soccer @TheBuzzer,” an extension of the @TheBuzzer series, have increased 492% since its launch in August 2014 and now average more than 4.8 million total views per week across all the platforms.
Overall, @TheBuzzer videos are viewed an average of over 19 million times per week across all platforms.
Before hosting “Off Topic” on MLSSoccer.com, Bonnetta was the host of “The Whip” on KICK TV. She also served as a brand ambassador for Toronto FC.
