A Toowoomba teenager known online for his range of football tricks and shots has attracted a new legion of fans: world-famous Real Madrid and his 106 million social media followers.
A compilation of Jed Hockin’s best tricks was posted online on the Spanish club’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts earlier this week.
Since then, it has been viewed six million times across all platforms.
For the 18-year-old, it’s the ultimate recognition.
“I said to myself: ‘If I made a football video with my Real Madrid jersey, would they share it on their social networks?’
he said.
“So I made it and sent it to them. They responded very quickly saying they would publish it.”

Two more weeks passed before the video was posted online on Tuesday.
“That’s not happening. They shared it and everything went crazy from there,” Mr Hockin said.
“The first three hours of the video posted on their Instagram had already been viewed a million times, so it was truly unreal.“
It took the 18-year-old just a day to make the 40-second video in his Toowoomba garden.
Mr. Hockin, who has nearly 38,000 followers on Instagramhas been publishing his videos on social networks for three years,
He was even invited by Brisbane Roar to show off some of his skills at Lang Park.
“I don’t really practice shooting. I practice soccer, passing and juggling, some soccer tricks, and through these basic skills I have improved my accuracy and different aspects of soccer,” he said.
“It made it easier for me to take these shots.”
He is now looking for ways to deepen his skills.
“Stay tuned, there are going to be big things to come.“
