Windber 2, Rockwood 1: At Windber, Jacob Hill and Damian Miller (an assist) each scored in the first half as the Ramblers edged the Rockets on Wednesday. Tristan Wright pulled Rockwood within one in the second half.
Bedford 1, Somerset 0: In Somerset, Cole Taylor scored the only goal of the first half, while Kyler Weyant kept a clean sheet as the Bisons blanked the Golden Eagles.
Chestnut Ridge 2, Penn Cambria 1 (extension): In Fishertown, Preston Pittman scored on a pass from Cameron Claycomb with 5:12 left in the first overtime to propel the Lions past the Panthers. Claycomb also scored and Bronson Buchanan made 15 saves. Andrew Dillon scored the Penn Cambria goal and Duncan Gongloff stopped 10 shots.
Forest Hills 7, Central Cambria 2: At Ebensburg, Toby Wilt scored four goals, while Kaden Carpenter added two in Rangers’ win over the Red Devils. Hunter Adams also scored for Forest Hills. Carter Heeney and Aidan Illig each had markers for Central Cambria.
Cambria Heights 0, West Shamokin 0 (2OT): In Patton, the Wolves’ Nick Atherton and the Highlanders’ Cooper Fyock each recorded shutouts in the draw.
Conemaugh Township 10, Ligonier Valley 2: At Ligonier, Jackson Sotosky scored a hat trick, while Rocco Hagan scored twice as the Indians dominated the Rams. Conemaugh Township’s Dylan Giffin, Maxwell Malicki, Caven Miller, Dane Rouser and Chris Yoder scored one goal each. Matthew Salancy and Hunter Wright of Ligonier Valley each scored.
North Star 5, Northern Bedford County 2: In Loysburg, Sean Hemminger and Parker Scherer each scored two goals to lead the Cougars against the Black Panthers. Braxton Sullivan added a marker. Northern Bedford County’s scorers were not reported.

Cambria Heights 2, Forest Hills 1 (OT): In Patton, Hannah Hite scored a goal with 6:51 left in the extra session to put the Highlanders past the Rangers. Brooklyn Galinis scored on a penalty kick for Cambria Heights.
Nina Martyak scored the lone goal for Forest Hills.
Conemaugh Township 7, Ligonier Valley 0: At Ligonier, Ashlyn Fetterman (two assists) and Izzy Slezak (one assist) each contributed hat tricks as the Indians blanked the Rams. Olivia Mauzy added a goal and Jordyn Snyder picked up a clean sheet.

High school girls
The Westmont Hilltop team finished in fifth place out of five teams competing in Wednesday’s PIAA Class 2A team championships. The Hilltoppers posted a score of 315. Hickory won with a 220, followed by Fairview (245), Greensburg Central Catholic (273) and Central Valley (298).
Senior Nora Mullen led the Hilltoppers with a round of 96. Senior Sophia Buday had a 98 and junior Haley Mosorjak had a 121.
Other team winners were Devon Prep (Class 2A boys) and Peters Township (Class 3A boys and girls).

Shadow 3, Tussey Mountain 1: At Cairnbrook, Kori Boozer had 67 digs, while Madalyn Rapsky dished out 52 assists in the Panthers’ 20-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-21 triumph over the Titans. Shade’s Deborah Bozovich had 21 kills, Kennedy Landis added 19 and Alana Deneen scored eight.

Cambria Heights 3, Conemaugh Valley 2: Mackenzie Mulraney had 16 service points and 13 kills in the Highlanders’ 22-25, 25-16, 13-25, 25-18, 16-14 victory over the host Blue Jays. Maelyn Dutko totaled 35 assists and 11 service points. Sophia Cann added 13 service points, while Emerson Packard added 11.
Cambria North 3, Portage 2: At Portage, Kiera Boring had 28 assists, 18 digs and seven kills, while Brenna McCracken had 15 digs, 12 assists and 12 kills in the Colts’ 26-24, 20-25, 25-22 games. , 18-25, 15-9 triumph for the Mustangs.
Northern Cambria’s Skye Bernecky had 21 digs and three aces. Ava Lieb had 12 digs and eight kills. Lauren McCombie added 12 kills and four blocks, and Riley Olish produced five kills and three blocks.
