Phil Mickelson Finally has a podium finish Golf liv.
The most high -end golfer and the most frank member of the League funded by Saudi Arabia during his training in 2022, Mickelson has since made many titles for his battles with members of the PGA Tour than for his golf game.
But this week in Hong Kong, Mickelson finished in third solo, marking his highest finish and the first time he made the podium in 37 Liv events.
“The fact is that I hit a lot of good shots,” said Mickelson. “I play the good golf course. This is a week of construction when I continue to education for Liv and my goal of reaching a Liv victory and winning another adult or preparing for Augusta.”
Mickelson won six majors, three to the masters, which begins on April 7. His last major championship was PGA 2021. He put the green jacket in Augusta in 2004, 2006, 2010.
Mickelson was 14 years under 196 for the three -day event in Hong Kong, four shots behind winner Sergio Garcia. Dean Burmester, who lives in Palm Beach County, finished second, three shots behind Garcia.
The Hong Kong Country Club played 6,710, shorter than all the 47 courses that organize a PGA Tour event this season.
The event was the third of the Liv calendar but the second in Mickelson. He missed the opening of the season in Riyadh due to a minor shoulder injury suffered during a training session. Mickelson was 23rd three weeks ago in Australia.
The best finish of Mickelson before Hong Kong was a T6 in Jeddah last year. He has only four top 10 and seven top 20. In 2024, Mickelson was 46th out of 57 players who played at least one LIV event, only three places above the fall zone, although as captain, he would not have been expelled from the League.
Garcia, 45, has two victories, three other finalists and 13 top 20 in the last 16 events of the regular Liv season.
The next Liv event is this week in Singapore. The first American league tournament is April 4-6 to Trump National Dural.
