The New England Patriots and the NFL each released statements following Tuesday’s announcement that star wide receiver Stefon Diggs was facing charges. based on an incident earlier this month in Dedham, Massachusetts.
According to court records, Diggs is charged with felony strangulation or suffocation and misdemeanor assault and battery and is expected to be arraigned next year.
The star wide receiver is charged with strangulation and assault in connection with an incident at his home in Dedham.

“The New England Patriots are aware of the accusations that have been made against Stefon Diggs. Stefon has informed the organization that he categorically denies these allegations. Out of respect for all parties involved and given that this is an ongoing legal matter, we will have no further comment at this time.“
