Our Predicted Strasbourg vs Lille: Diego Moreira’s Unsung Role and Djordje Petrovic’s Second Appearance

RC Strasbourg travels this afternoon to the Pierre-Mauroy stadium to face a struggling Lille OSC, who suffered their fourth consecutive defeat during their trip to Sporting CP in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Liam Rosenior hopes his Racing Lille could take advantage of their club’s slump to bounce back after their 1-1 draw at home to promoted Angers SCO. The English manager will make no changes to the squad that lined up last weekend.

Diego Moreira is expected to continue in his new role as left-back goalkeeper due to Caleb Wiley’s injury. In goal, Petrovic will once again start for Strasbourg after his debut against Angers. The Chelsea loanee is expected to become the starting keeper during his temporary stay.

Probable composition of Strasbourg against Lille

Djordjé Petrović; Abakar Sylla, Saïdou Sow, Guela Doué; Diego Moreira, Ismaël Doukouré, Andrey Santos; Sébastien Nanasi, Habib Diarra, Dilan Bakwa; Emmanuel Emegha. (Eq)
