Ohio State football is currently on a warpath when it comes to the recruiting trail and even though the majority of the focus is on the Class of 2025, the coaching staff is always thinking ahead. It appears Carlos Locklyn has pulled the trigger on another offer to a star running back in the class of 2027.
Jakoby Dixon is not yet rated by most major recruiting services like 247Sportsbut the Brenham, Texas, star will be highly ranked when the time comes. The sophomore had some jaw-dropping statistical production a few weeks ago, scoring seven touchdowns on the ground and even had a score through the air. Rushing for 291 yards and averaging seven yards per carry will make headlines and apparently the Buckeye coaching staff saw them.
Dixon is a unique prospect because he is only 5 feet, 9 inches and 183 pounds, but he runs with considerable power. It will probably be much bigger before it lands on a college campus.
