The Nashville predators striker Gustav Nyquist, will not play in the match on Saturday against the New York Icelanders for reasons related to the trade, by initiate of the NHL Sportsnet, Eliot Friedman.

Friedman also pointed out that Minnesota Wild was “one of the most aggressive pursuers” for Nyquist, but other teams are in competition. The team would not confirm the availability of Nyquist for the match on Saturday before the start of heating at 11 a.m. CT.

Nyquist is one of the most obvious parts of commerce for Nashville before the deadline of March 7 of this year. It is in the last season of a $ 6.37 million contract of two years signed with the Predators in 2023.

Nyquist is only a season withdrawn from a year of career in 2023-24, when he scored 23 goals and 75 points in 81 games during his first season with the Predators. Its release of score has dropped this year (nine goals and 21 points in 51 games), just like that of the majority of its predators teammates in 2024-25, but its commercial value is still high given its versatility as a high or medium winger who can play on both sides of the ice.
