Not to be too obvious, we’re usually talking about Michael Porter Jr. or Aaron Gordon in this block of our Nuggets game previews. But in reality, this should be reserved exclusively for the Nuggets Finals MVP and two-time NBA MVP. Nikola Jokic knows when to rise to the occasion, and he showed us that in the Nuggets’ last game against San Antonio. He knew it would be him against Wemby, so what did he do? He dropped more than 40 points, grabbed 16 rebounds and had a dunk, something he rarely does, against Wemby. Jokic only gets better as the season goes on and the games get bigger. So it’s no surprise that of the three teams chasing the top seed in the West, Denver is arguably the least desired option for the rest of the West. .
