Notre Dame is coming off a masterful two days with transfer portal commitments, and most Irish fans are applauding this fantastic effort. As much talent as the Irish bring, there is one position that still seems a little light.
Notre Dame entered the portal with some needs, and most had the Irish listed as a “needs at least 2 defensive tackles” type team. Francis Brewu had a massive win, but they couldn’t keep James Smith away from Qua Russaw and Ohio State. So… there is still one place available.

Enter Oregon defensive tackle Tionne Gray.
Gray’s only scheduled visit (for now) is Notre Dame on Thursday, but it has been reported that he will make an additional visit on Friday to either Nebraska, Florida, Missouri or Clemson. While there is no reason to doubt this information, we have found repeatedly throughout the process that visits do not always take place.
Gray is 6’6″ and 336 pounds and has 3 years of eligibility remaining. Notre Dame may already have a national championship roster right now, but Gray would certainly help.
